IEC 62368-1 - Introduction and difference between 2nd and 3rd editions for A/V & ICT
equipment

May 19, 2022 2 pm (EST) 1 hour

Manufacturers of high-tech equipment must meet several regulations before they can enter various markets around the world. One of the primary standards they may need to comply with is IEC 62368-1: Audio/video, information, and communication technology equipment Part 1 - Safety requirement. This hazard-based safety engineering standard is new to the industry, with a relatively new approach to developing requirements in safety standards.

This webinar provides an overview of the IEC 62368-1 standard and highlights the approach of Hazard Based Safety, identifying hazards, safeguards, and the users that may be exposed to these hazards. It will also touch on some of the major differences between the editions (IEC 62368-1:2014 2nd Ed. and IEC 62368-1:2018 3rd Ed.), and the adoption status of IEC 62368-1 around the world. Armed with this knowledge, high-tech equipment manufacturers and designers will be able to better address the new requirements of safety standards early in the process, streamlining deployment and commissioning.

Learn about the standard that impacts the A/V & ICT Equipment safety requirements around the world.
